Ordering Books Directly through Candlewick
The Basics:
- Candlewick Press offers a 40% discount and free shipping to schools and libraries for author appearance orders of
ten or more books. The discount can be passed on to the book buyers or used to recoup some of the cost of the
event.
- The books are sold on consignment, so any books that are not sold at the event can be returned for credit
immediately thereafter.
- For guaranteed delivery, the book order must be received at least four weeks prior to the date you want the
books to arrive.
- If you'd like any advice on the order, your Candlewick contact will be happy to help.
What to Include on the Order:
- The billing address, which must be the school or library sponsoring the event including the phone number.
- The shipping address - where you want the books to be sent
- The date that you want the books to arrive - this should be about a week before the event, even more if you plan
to pre-sell the books or create a display
- The quantity of each title that you want
- With each title, please also give the author's name, the ISBN number (which can be found with the publication
information inside the book), and the retail price
- If it is required by your school or library, please include a purchase order number.
