The Goldilocks Project

Goldilocks and the Three Bears – The “Potty” Version

  by Elizabeth Norcross

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Goldilocks.  One day Goldilocks was walking in the woods when she realized she needed to go potty.  Just when she thought she couldn't hold it any longer, she saw a little house in a clearing.

Goldilocks ran to the house and knocked on the door.  There was no answer, but she really had to go.  So, she opened the door and walked inside.

Goldilocks quickly found the bathroom, but to her surprise, it was unlike any bathroom she'd ever seen.  There were three toilets!

Goldilocks first tried the great big toilet.  “Oh my,” said Goldilocks.  “This potty is too high.  I can't even climb onto it.”

Next, Goldilocks tried the medium sized toilet.  “Oh no!” she cried.  “This potty is too wide.  I'm afraid I'll fall right in.”

Next Goldilocks hopped onto the wee little toilet.  “Ahh,” Goldilocks sighed.  “This potty is just right.”

When Goldilocks had finished her business, she looked around and saw three rolls of toilet paper.  First she tried the great big roll.

“Oh my,” said Goldilocks.  “This toilet paper is too rough.  That isn't comfortable at all.”

Next, she tried the medium sized roll.  “Oh no,” cried Goldilocks.  “This toilet paper is too soft.  It will never do.”

Last, she tried the wee little roll.  “Ahh,” she sighed.  “This toilet paper is just right.”  She was so happy about finding the right toilet paper, that she used the whole roll.

As Goldilocks was a hygienic child, she approached the great big sink to wash her hands.

“Oh my,” said Goldilocks, shivering.  “This water is too cold.”

She tried the medium sized sink.  “Oh no,” cried Goldilocks.  “This water is too hot!”

Last, she tried the wee little sink.  “Ahh,” Goldilocks sighed.  “This water is just right.”

And she washed her hands, letting the water run and run over them.

Feeling much better, Goldilocks left the bathroom to explore the strange house.

Little did she know, the owners of the house, who happened to be bears, were just returning from a long walk in the woods and had to use the bathroom.

“Oh my!” exclaimed the great big Papa bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet!”

“Oh no!” cried the medium sized Mama bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet!”

“Aahh!” screamed the wee little baby bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet, and they forgot to flush!”

The three bears took another look.

“Oh my!” exclaimed the great big Papa bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet paper.”

“Oh no!” cried the medium sized Mama bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet paper.”

“Aahh!" screamed the wee little baby bear.  “Someone has been using my toilet paper, and they used it all up!”

Afraid of what they might find next, the bears looked some more.

“Oh my!” exclaimed the great big Papa bear.  “Someone has been using my sink!”

“Oh no!” cried the medium sized Mama bear.  “Someone has been using my sink!”

“Aahh!” screamed the wee little bear.  “Someone has been using my sink, and they forgot to turn off the water!  It's running all over the place!”

The bears turned off the water and went in search of towels to clean up the wet floor.  Just then, Goldilocks turned up.

When she saw the three bears, Goldilocks was scared.  Really scared.  So scared that at first, she couldn't move.  So scared that she started to tremble.  So scared that Goldilocks peed her pants and ran away as fast as she could.  To this day, Goldilocks has a pathological fear of public restrooms.
