Goldilocks

Goldilocks, feeling good
Ventures out into the wood
Spies, as an explorer would,
a cottage in the trees

Goldilocks like a louse
Sneaks into the little house
Moving like a little mouse
Quiet as can be

Goldilocks feeling bold
Sees the porridge in a bowl
One is hot and one is cold
But one's just right to eat

Goldilocks sitting down
In three chairs that she has found
One collapses to the ground
Scratches Goldi's knees

Goldilocks needs to rest
Puts the three beds to the test
Likes the little bed the best
Soon she is asleep

Goldilocks starts to snore
Three bears coming in the door
See the chair smashed on the floor
wonder what it means

Goldilocks still asleep
Three bears in the bedroom creep
Trying not to make a peep
But baby has to sneeze

Goldilocks, blinking eyes
Wakes up to a big surprise
Three big pairs of brown bear eyes
Not to mention teeth

Goldilocks filled with dread
Leaping out of comfy bed
Three bears stand and scratch their heads
As their intruder flees

Goldilocks unaware
That missing food and broken chair
Gave the three bears quite a scare
Runs off through the trees

Goldilocks gone away
Bears wonder why she didn't stay
But if she comes again their way
They will offer tea.
