The Goldilocks Project

Goldilox and the Three Bears

  by Melissa Scholes

Once upon a time, there was a rock star named Goldilox. Goldi was a great singer and she had a keyboard player, a drummer and two guitar players. But Goldi was in a real fix.

“I'm in a real fix.” She said. “Back-up bear won't come out of hibernation and Battle of the Bear Bands is in three days!”

Goldi and her band started the auditions. Papa Bear was the first bear they brought in. He could sing really low, too low.

Mama Bear came next. She hit a really high note. So high Goldi's glamour glasses started to crack.

“Next.” Goldi sighed in exasperation.

Then came Baby Bear. He hit a low note, he hit a high note and nailed everything in between.

“He sings just right!” Goldie and the band said excitedly.

So they pulled out the back-up singer's costume and tried it on baby bear. It was too big! Way too big. Baby Bear did not look right at all.

“Is he even in there?” Asked the drummer.

So they brought Papa Bear in to try on the costume. The costume was too small, not to mention that it looked ridiculous on Papa.

“Get it off of him before it rips.” Shouted Goldie.

They squeezed Papa bear out of the clothes and put them on Mama Bear. They fit just right! And wow!

“Mama Bear, you look out of sight!” They all said. And Papa Bear whistled loudly.
