Compare Three Things

This exercise teaches observation, analysis, defining, and comparing skills.

  1. Choose any three things.

  2. Find any characteristics the three things have in common. Do they share colors? Are they all small? Are they all large? Are they spotted? Are they useful? Are they hard? Are they soft? List all the characteristics you can find.

  3. Choose one characteristic the three things share. Rank the three things. Do they all have red in them? Which is red? Which is redder? Which is reddest? Are they all small? Which is small? Which is smaller? Which is smallest?
