Activities for: Bunny Day
- Read the story out loud to the class. Have the kids clap or stand up and then sit down every time they hear a
time mentioned.
- Write about a normal summer day. What do you do?
- Write about a strange day for you. What do you do?
- Write about a normal school day for you. What do you do?
- Play "My Day Pantomime". One player is chosen to be "It". They come to the front of the class, and then act out
an activity that they might do during the day. The rest of the players guess what the activity is. The first
person to guess right is the next "It".
-
Play "Toss the Activity". Players sit in a circle, or at their desks or tables. One player has a beanbag and starts
the game. They shout out something they might do during the day and toss the beanbag to another player. They then
shout something they might do and toss it to another player. Players keep shouting out activities and tossing the
beanbag until someone can't think of an activity, repeats a activity, or shouts out something that is not a
activity.
Competitive variations:
- All players stand while playing. If they repeat an activity, can't think of an activity, or say something
that is not an activity, then they are out and sit down. The last player standing wins.
- Divide the class into two teams. One team lines up on one side of the room, the other team on the other side
of the room. Players toss the beanbag bag and forth, from one team to the other, and shout out activities. If
they can't quickly think of an activity, or if they shout out an activity that's already been said or a word
that's not an activity, the other team gets a point. The first team to get five points wins.
