If Rick is Coming to Your School

When I do my presentation I stand by the slide projector, which usually sits in the middle of the average elementary gym/lunchroom/multipurpose room, depending on how far back from the screen the projector needs to be for the pictures to be as large as possible. I will need you to provide...

a large room that can be made as dark as possible--the darker the better
a Kodak carousel slide projector
an extra bulb (just in case)
an extension cord to reach from the projector to the nearest outlet
a stand or table to put the projector on
a screen
a microphone
a long microphone cord, long enough to reach back to where the projector will be

To avoid last minute rushing around, these things should all be set up when I arrive.

Lunch

I eat anything. I enjoy eating school lunch with the kids, or with the teachers. I also enjoy going out to eat. (If it's a multi-day visit, I'd rather not eat school lunch every day. It starts getting a little heavy.) Use this time as a chance for me to talk to whomever you'd like me to talk to--kids, teachers, PTA leaders, parents, in small or large groups.
